Utility’s New Offset Centerseal® Alignment Offers Versatility

Chill or deep frozen? The Utility Trailer 3000R® with an optional Cargobull 655MT Hybrid TRU can handle either—or now they can deliver both simultaneously. The CenterSeal® load partition system on Utility’s 3000R multi-temp reefer allows for multiple “lane” zones inside a trailer, increasing load versatility and thermal efficiency. Configured as a center wall, it offers two compartments for different temperatures.

Utility Trailer first worked with Target to optimize the CenterSeal system with a four-inch offset center divider, allowing for better organization and enhanced load capacity to effectively fit more pallets. The design proved beneficial for Target with the company’s unique operations.

Now, all fleets can take advantage of an offset CenterSeal load partition system, whether configured at the center or offset toward the roadside or the curbside of the trailer. This new design incorporates advanced air circulation from the Cargobull 655MT TRU that can support all three configurations without the initial expense, lead time, or high maintenance associated with dual discharge units from competitors.

“Developing this design to support the offset center wall configurations with the Cargobull 655MT Hybrid TRU can boost a fleets operational efficiency,” Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company Vice President Andrew Bennett said. “This design allows one side to maintain deep frozen temperatures at -20°C, while the other side can provide either deep-frozen, chilled, or heat, at the same time.”

The custom solution directs air from the TRU’s high-velocity fans along a flexible rubber snorkel and air chute to one side of the trailer while utilizing the ceiling-mounted remote evaporator on the other side.

“The offset CenterSeal® option is another trailer integration technology from Utility to ensure the 3000R, equipped with a Cargobull TRU, remains the most productive and thermally efficient reefer on the market today,” Bennett said.
