Factory installations and aftermarket retrofits expand the UTC reach
The UTILITY TrailerConnect suite of telematics represents a significant step forward in trailer intelligence, remote monitoring, and breakdown prevention. Now, both the UTC-BASIC and UTC-PRO solutions are available options for reefers, dry vans, and flatbeds.
UTC systems can now be factory-installed on new Utility trailers, making telematics technology available right from the start. Additionally, the UTILITY
TrailerConnect systems can be retrofitted exclusively at Cargobull North America dealerships on any trailer model through hardware installations that are also compatible with other third-party applications and front-end systems.
The UTC-BASIC telematics system features an easy-to-use interface and an optional connection to the Bendix® TABS-8 ABS braking system. This connection to the ABS system provides the driver and fleet manager with valuable operating data such as trailer weight, tire pressure alerts or critical braking system faults. The UTC-BASIC’s compact design and durability makes for simple installation and provides 20+ weeks of standby time, ensuring long-lasting support through proactive trailer care.
UTC-PRO goes above and beyond, including everything from UTC-BASIC with even more insight. UTC-PRO comes standard with a precision temperature recorder, making it a more affordable solution. Another added feature is door monitoring and alerts, enabled by an integrated door sensor at the rear frame of a 3000R® reefer equipped with a Cargobull TRU. The UTC-PRO telematics system supports two-way reefer TRU communications and includes five years of data service with purchase.
