New 3000R® Option
Utility provides a solution for a common problem When working with some of the top carriers and distributors in the nation to find more efficient ways to transport the country’s food supply, Jeff Bennett, Vice President of Engineering for Utility leads the way.
“Every Utility trailer is unique to the customer’s needs – we don’t just build a trailer, we build efficient solutions for our customers’ applications,” says Jeff. Most recently, a top foodservice distributor was faced with costly repairs due to a common problem drivers face on their daily routes. With several thousands of their trailers on the road each day, the common issue with overhanging tree branches and low hanging obstructions has led to thousands of dollars in costly repairs. Alongside Utility’s research and development team, Jeff spearheaded the development of the Front Top Rail Protector exclusively for Utility’s 3000R reefer.
The design of the Front Top Rail Protector is now a new option for the 3000R, and is designed to deflect and withstand impacts from low hanging obstructions, while adding protection to the top rail and roof skin. This new aluminum extrusion will work as a stand-alone, as well as in conjunction with the optional diamond pattern upper radius corner protectors.
The Front Top Rail Protector is just one of the many options available for the 3000R. Utility and its dealer network have partnered with their customers to customize each trailer for its unique application. With four generations of leadership, Utility is committed to continuing this tradition.
