Double Your Delivery Power

Increase payloads and fuel efficiency

Utility Trailer’s 4000D-X Composite® dry vans can pull double duty, delivering twice as many goods thanks to an optional double-decking system. An improved design for double-decking, vertical single-track installation further enhances the payload capacity of Utility’s dry vans. Recessed-mounted into the side wall lining, the vertical track on the 100-inch inside-width models retains its high-strength, snag-free® composite wall and its standard A-track logistics posts, offering the most versatile options for increased payload and load securement.

Magnum Trucking out of Fargo, North Dakota, is Utility’s largest customer utilizing the double-decking feature in their dry vans and will be the first to benefit from the increased inside width.

The double-decking system takes advantage of all available space, floor to ceiling, to securely load more cargo. Double-decking systems such as Kinedyne’s Kaptive Beams include captive aluminum beams, a release pole, and a unique head assembly that moves within the vertical tracks. The beams glide smoothly into place and can be conveniently stored away at the ceiling level when not in use. The beams provide easy access whenever needed, creating a strong, sturdy second floor inside the 4000D-X Composite. Utility continues to expand and improve its offerings by providing comprehensive load-optimizing solutions that enable customers to double their loads or halve their trips, resulting in more efficient operation.
