Unveils Upgraded Sales and Service Center

In 2015, Craftsmen Utility Trailer, a second-generation Utility dealer, acquired the Utility dealership that was located in Davenport, Iowa from Thompson Truck and Trailer with no intention of maintaining the status quo. Two years later, Craftsmen completed the development of its brand new Davenport Sales and Service Center. Craftsmen is a regional full-service Utility dealership with 3 strategic locations — St. Charles (St. Louis), Missouri, Sikeston, Missouri and Davenport, Iowa.

“We acquired this location to better serve our customers,” said Lou Helmsing, President of Craftsmen Utility Trailer. “But the facility that we were leasing from the prior owner was too small for the marketplace. We began plans to build a new facility that would offer a great experience for our customers and make each member of our team more productive. We are also excited to show off our new facility with an Open House this November.”

Located on 14 acres of land, the new Davenport center is situated next to truck stops and several truck dealers, and it offers abundant space for trailer parking. The spacious, modern 25,500-square foot facility includes a comfortable Driver’s Waiting Room, a 4,000-square foot Parts Warehouse & Showroom, and a large Service Center with 12 Service Bays. “Our Service Department is open on two shifts, offering both Express Service and Mobile Service. Our fleet of fully-equipped service trucks are ready to provide emergency road service and on-site repair,” added Mr. Helmsing.
