Craftsmen Utility Expands into a Major Trucking Community

Spring-Ing into a Season of Growth

Craftsmen Utility Trailer is eagerly anticipating the May 2025 opening of its new full-service center in Quincy, Illinois. The dealership’s latest expansion comes in the form of a 20,000-square-foot facility featuring eight service bays, a large parts warehouse, and a retail parts showroom.

“Craftsmen Utility’s new facility will fit right in and be a valuable addition to Quincy—already one of the largest trucking communities in Illinois and the rest of the Midwest,” Craftsmen Utility Trailer president Lou Helmsing said. “In addition to traditional wreck rebuilding and trailer repair offerings, we will be able to provide Quincy-area customers express mobile service, improved parts availability with daily deliveries, and a full suite of services to support the region’s first fleets of new Cargobull North America products.”

The new Craftsmen Utility facility sits on 10 acres, conveniently located in a spacious business park just off Interstate I-172 on Quincy’s east side. The location is approximately 120 north of Craftsmen Utility’s St. Louis headquarters and approximately 120 miles of its Davenport, Iowa, branch. The Quincy facility brings Craftsmen Utility’s services directly to customers’ front doors. Longtime valued Utility Trailer customers such as Dot Transportation, McNay Truck Lines, Kohl’s Wholesale, Sharkey Transportation, Leeser TX, Potterfield Trucking, Gully Transportation, Thompson Inc., and others all operate nearby, with many located within just five miles of the new Craftsmen Utility dealership.
