A Successful New Salesman Seminar
Utility hosted a new salesman seminar in mid-September
Utility hosted a New Salesman Seminar on September 17th through September 20th in Abingdon, Virginia. The threeday seminar provided new sales representatives an opportunity to further educate themselves on the advantages and benefits of Utility’s product line. Attendees were also given a tour of Utility’s Marion and Glade Spring plants to learn more about the equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes for Utility’s dry vans and reefers. Jason Reeves, Sales Associate for Utility Trailer Sales of Utah said, “Touring the factories gave me ideas on how to better serve my customers, as well as giving me a solid understanding of why Utility uses the processes that they do.” Another participant, Luis Martinez, Sales Associate for Utility Trailer of Dallas added, “I think this seminar should be taken as soon as you are hired. To see the trailers being built has given me confidence to talk and explain the products to my customers.”
In addition to plant tours, sales, marketing and field service sessions were conducted on the last day of the seminar. Utility’s Larry Roland, Steve King, Brian Love, Brett Olsen, Joe Vergeldedios, and Sal Molina provided the attendees with the necessary resources and knowledge to confidently recommend the best spec’ing options for their
customers’ specific needs and applications. “Getting to spend time with the Utility team and other Utility sales representatives from around the country was a wonderful
experience and has already paid off,” said Brittany Burnette, Sales Representative for C.R.T.S., Inc. in Ashland, Virginia. She added, “I am already looking forward to the
next Utility sales meeting.”
