Utility Introduces New Combo Flatbed

The new 4000AE™ is bending the rules

Utility Trailer Manufacturing is setting a new standard with the introduction of its 4000AE flatbed trailer. “Our new 4000AE flatbed delivers the strength and long-term benefits of a durable combo trailer,” said Jeff Bennett, Vice President of Engineering and Product Development for Utility. “This next-generation flatbed is an evolution of the proven 4000A® and, in fact, weighs less than some all-aluminum trailer designs, yet is available at a combo trailer price.”

The patent-pending 4000AE utilizes a combination of 3″ and 4″ aluminum crossmembers and has been thoroughly tested for fully distributed and concentrated hauls. For added stability, three tube-shaped outriggers are located on each side of the 4000AE and are connected to the aluminum crossmembers—aiding in even load distribution to the steel main beams.

The rugged 4000AE comes standard with a 47,000 lb coil haul package, yet it is 536 lbs lighter than the 4000A base model, and 627 lbs lighter than the 4000A flatbed spec’d with an optional coil haul package.
